Got Milk?

I was making dinner for the hubby last nite and had to run downstairs to check on the laundry. This is what I found when I returned.....

After she realized that she was busted she flashed me one of these....

Even if she tried to deny that she was drinking from the jug she couldn't explain away the evidence left behind on her chin! I think we have come up with the newest "Got Milk" campaign!

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! Ours was a busy one as usual. I attempted to sleep in - which is something I don't get to do - and I still didn't. I guess with 5 kids that is just an impossibility. They just had to find their baskets and wouldn't let their poor mom catch a few extra winks. Fine with me but there will be payback!

The easter bunny left the kids baskets filled with candy and toys. I didn't think to tell Skylar to not pull out a basket if it wasn't hers. She found Dakotah's and yelled to her that she found it. Kotah wasn't too happy with her. I tried to explain to Kotah that Skylar probably had never looked for a basket before so she didn't know what to do. She pouted for a bit but then got over it.

We went to my uncle Todd's for dinner. The whole family was there and we all had a really good time. Todd just got a new pool table a few months ago and we spent a lot of our time down in his basement playing pool. I love his basement because he has a bar area and that particular area is decked out in Dallas Cowboys paraphinalia. The man has good taste! :) I haven't played pool in years but it all came back pretty quickly. My brother seems to be quite the pool shark. Have to watch out for that one! The hubby is pretty good, too. Jordan even got a chance to play - against me. I let him win ;)

My gram loves these get togethers because she loves seeing her family together. I know she was a bit sad because this will be the last time for a while that Kevin and Ryan will be at any of them. They are moving to Florida in about a month. She wants to see them happy but I know she will miss them like crazy. I did get a nice pic of her with Kevin. I'll miss them, too. Kevin did a lot with me when I was a kid. I remember how I used to help him build picnic tables. He used to call me "grease pit". Don't know where that name came from but he even had a hat made up for me and my brother with our nicknames on them - Grease Pit I and Grease Pit II. I hate to see him go.

All in all it was a good day - fun and good times with the family.

Off to the Air Force

I just wanted to take a minute to say goodbye and good luck to our good friend,Mitch, who is leaving for the Air Force today. He flies out at some point today to go to Texas to start his basic training. I think he's a little crazy to go into any branch of the military because of the chance that he could be shipped overseas to fight in a war that should not be happening. But it's Mitch's choice and we will support him in whatever he does. We just want him to stay safe.

So Mitch - good luck to you, keep your head on straight and most of all stay safe. After all,Hadlei wants to see her Ni Ni Rowe again :) She loves you.

Oh and don't forget - if you spot any Cowboys while you're there you know my address ;)

Hadlei's 3 Year Check-up

Hadlei had her 3 year check up yesterday. Things went very well. She weighs in at 33 lbs and is 37" tall. I thought she weighed a little more than that - like in the upper 30's. She sure feels it when I pick her up! She didn't have to have any shots which was good for both of us. Her dr did a vision test with her with these funny glasses. There were a few cards - some blank and one with an "E" on it. She had to pick the card with the "E". She tried to trick her but Hadlei got the right card every time. I tried to tell her she was too smart for that. The dr thought it was hilarious that Hadlei knew how to breathe correctly when she listened to her chest. She kept telling us how cute and smart she was. The least she could have done was tell us something that we didn't already know :) Aside from the croop that she caught(again!)Hadlei got a clean bill of health. She is perfect and growing just the way she should. Thank God for little miracles :)

Happy Birthday Hadlei!

Today my baby girl turns 3! I can't believe she is that age already. It seems like just yesterday that she made her grand entrance into the world and made her mama the talk of the hospital. Long story short - I was induced at around 7 am and they only got me up to a 6 when she decided she was ready to come out. The nurses nonchalantly came in to check me and found that her head was basically out. They all started running around like a bunch of nuts while I continued to push her out. I didn't have time to wait for them to get their act together. I had warned them beforehand that I do this type of thing pretty quickly. Hadlei was born at 8:39 am. When my favorite dr - Dr.Ryu - came into to see me he said,"So you're the one that everyone in the hospital is talking about." I guess they had never seen an induction go so quickly. What can I say? I like to get things done!

Hadlei has blown us away with how smart she is. She crawled and sat up alone at 5 months. She walked at 9 months and started talking shortly thereafter. She is such a smart little girl. Everyone that meets her thinks that she is older than she is because she is so inteligent. I know that I'm bragging but I can't help it. She is one in a million. I can't wait for her to start preschool this year. Hopefully her teacher doesn't try to send her straight to Kindergarten :)

Happy Birthday to my very special little girl. Mommy and daddy love you so much and we are so proud of you. Enjoy your birthday my little Hadderbees! Big hugs and kisses!
